Papers does not collect personal data or track you. Your library stays on your device, and you choose when to share a file.
No account, analytics, or advertising. Full Access enables the file sharing you initiate; Papers does not use it to collect your documents or keystrokes.
01 — LOCAL STORAGE
Files, images, group choices, labels, and card tint are stored locally in Papers’ protected app container on your device. The container is shared with the Papers shelf so it can display your Quick Library. Papers does not upload this library.
02 — NO PERSONAL DATA COLLECTION
Papers does not require or create an account, collect personal data, use analytics or advertising, or retain user information remotely. Papers does not sell or rent user data or provide it to advertisers, data brokers, or analytics providers.
03 — IMPORTING AND SHARING FILES
Photos and Files are accessed only when you deliberately choose an item to import through Apple’s system picker. Papers receives only the item you select. When you choose Share or drag a file into another app, Papers provides that selected file to the destination you choose. That app or service handles the file under its own privacy policy. This user-directed sharing is separate from data collection by Papers or its developer.
04 — KEYBOARD AND FULL ACCESS
The Papers keyboard is a shelf for the local files and images you explicitly save. It does not replace your typing keyboard, inspect the message field, provide predictive text, or process keystrokes. It requests Full Access so iOS can hand a file you deliberately drag or share from your Quick Library to another app. Papers does not use Full Access for network access, send keystrokes or documents to Papers or its developer, or collect data through the keyboard.
05 — YOUR CONTROL
You control the local library. You can delete individual files or entire groups in Papers. Deleting a group requires confirmation and also removes the files stored in that group. Files are shared only when you choose a destination and initiate sharing.
